Budget-friendly Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2017) spotted again, launch seems imminent

It appears that Samsung has another entry-level Android tablet in the pipeline, a sequel to the Galaxy Tab A 8.0, which is likely to make its debut very soon. The so-called Galaxy Tab A (2017) was spotted for the first time about two months ago.

Earlier this week, the slab appeared at TENAA, the Chinese regulatory body, so an announcement looks imminent. The tablet is listed with model number SM-T385C, but TENAA doesn't reveal any information about its specs.

However, a previous report suggests the Galaxy Tab A (2017) sports an 8-inch display with 1200 x 800 pixels resolution, as well as a decent 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 427 processor.

When it comes to memory, Samsung's budget-friendly slate packs 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage. An 8-megapixel primary camera is said to be positioned on the back side, while on the front, there's a secondary 5-megapixel selfie camera.

There's no mention of the battery yet, but it looks like the Galaxy Tab A (2017), or whatever its name, will ship with Android 7.0 Nougat on board.
