A tweet from Motorola India indicates that both generations of the Motorola Moto G are in the midst of getting updated to Android 5.0. The tweet tells those with the device to watch for the notification to appear on the display. The Moto G was one of the first non-Nexus phones to receive the update, but there are some areas, like India, where Motorola has to fill in the gaps.
The second-generation Motorola Moto G features a 5-inch screen with resolution of 720 x 1280. A quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 CPU is under the hood while the Adreno 305 crunches graphics. 1GB of RAM is on board with 8GB of native storage inside. Those needing additional memory can turn to the 32GB capacity microSD slot. An 8MP camera graces the back of the phone while a 2MP snapper can be found up front. The handset is powered by a 2070mAh battery.
Motorola India itself says that the update is being sent out in phases. If you don't receive it in the next few days, be patient. It will hit your phone soon. And when it does come, make sure you are hooked up to a Wi-Fi network when you start the updating process. And you should also make sure that your battery is charged to at least 50% when you start downloading the update.
