A couple of interesting trends took over the smartphone world in 2017. Big name companies such as Apple, Samsung, LG, and Huawei have all released avant-garde handsets that feature powerful dual-camera solutions and large, beautiful displays encompassed by extremely slim bezels.
Devices like the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, iPhone X, and LG V30 excited mobile tech fans around the globe, but the price tags that accompanied them certainly didn't invoke similar feelings. In stark contrast to many other players on the market, Hong Kong-based manufacturer Bluboo has been selling all-screen smartphones at a very competitive price. The company's latest S8+ model recently broke cover, packing a big display and a dual-camera composition at the back. Let's see what else it has to offer.
When it comes to hardware, the S8+ sits firmly in the mid-range category. It's powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6750T chipset that's coupled with 4GB of RAM. The handset comes with 64GB of internal storage, while it also features microSD support of up to 256GB. With a capacity of 3,600 mAh, the battery provides ample time between charges.
On the software side, the S8+ runs Bluboo's own 360 OS skin that is based on Android 7 Nougat. Some of the characteristic functionalities of the software include a security center, file protection system, and an "Avatar Master" feature which lets users run two instances of the same app at once.
So, how much will the phone cost and when will it become available? Well, Bluboo has set a $179.99 price tag for the S8+ (additional shipping and tax fees may apply), but right now, you can get it for even cheaper.
There's a special pre-sale event that runs until November 25th. During the pre-sale, the handset will be available for $149.99, and buyers will also receive a gift pack that includes a case, screen protector, two type-c adapters, and two USB cables. There's also a Facebook giveaway contest running in parallel with the bigger promo. For more information about the event and the phone itself, feel free check out the two links below.
