Bluboo Xtouch gets Iron Man case and screensaver accessory (UPDATE)
Over the last few weeks, we have seen the Bluboo Xtouch show off its enhanced Gorilla Glass screen, unlock the phone using the fingerprint sensor faster than Touch ID does, and survive a drop test. Now comes word that Bluboo will be offering an Iron Man case for the phone, accompanied by a special screensaver. Using a QR card that comes with the case, and a dedicated app inside the device, users can install the screensaver. To activate it, all you need to do is touch the distance sensor.

Iron Man has proven to be a very popular franchise for smartphone manufacturers, dating back to a commercial made in 2008 for the LG Voyager. A special Iron Man edition of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 edge was offered this year.

The Bluboo Xtouch features a 5-inch screen with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. The MediaTek MT6753 SoC is under the hood, containing an octa-core CPU. 3GB of RAM is inside, along with 32GB of expandable native storage. A 13MP rear-camera is equipped with Sony's IMX214 sensor, and an 8MP front-facing camera can be used for selfies and video chats. A fingerprint scanner is embedded in the home button, and Android 5.1 is pre-installed.

Bluboo originally had told us that the phone will be priced at $149.99, although other sources are showing a $179.99 price. We will see if we can get that straightened out. Meanwhile, we can tell you that the Iron Man case and screensaver is priced at $14.99. The Xtouch will be released some time later this month.

UPDATE: Bluboo informed us that the actual price of the Bluboo Xtouch is $179. The pre-order price is $149. We have to say that even at the higher price, the Bluboo Xtouch would seem to be a bargain.
