The Blu Life Max is a cheap smartphone with 3-day battery life and decent specs
Miami-based Blu has a new Android handset that offers decent features without costing too much.
Called Blu Life Max, the new smartphone will be released in the US via Amazon, Blu's official retail partner, for $118.87 (unlocked).
The highlight of the Life Max is its generous 3700 mAh battery. According to Blu, this can last up to 3 days "with standard usage" - that's something that you don't really get with most other smartphones out there. Of course, the fact that the Blu Life Max doesn't have high-end, power-draining features helps a lot in this regard.
Sporting a 5.5-inch IPS display with 720 x 1280 pixels, the Blu Life Max relies on a quad-core 1.3 GHz MediaTek MT6737 processor and 2 GB of RAM, so it should provide an OK user experience. The phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow, further offering a fingerprint scanner, LTE connectivity, dual SIM support, and 16 GB of expandable storage space. There's an 8 MP camera on the back of the handset, and a 5 MP one on the front, both accompanied by LED flashes.

The Blu Life Max certainly doesn't look bad for a $120 smartphone, and its features are appealing enough at this price point. Amazon does not say exactly when the device will be in stock, but it should happen pretty soon. So, who's interested in buying this phone?
