BlackBerry OS 6 is being tested by T-Mobile for their Bold 9700?

Almost getting close to that one year anniversary since it was first unleashed on T-Mobile, the Blackberry Bold 9700 was and is still considered one of the top notch smartphones from RIM's camp. However, it looks like T-Mobile is in the process of testing out BlackBerry OS 6 for the Bold 9700 as we speak; according to GizmoFusion's source.

We already know that RIM plans to bring OS 6 to the aging Bold 9700, but it appears as though that the carrier is in the process of “actively testing” it. We'd imagine that T-Mobile wants to make sure that it's a bug-free experience so customers can really soak it in completely and reinvigorate some new life to the handset. Still, we're all in the dark regarding an actual release time frame for this update – but hopefully it won't be long.
