BlackBerry Curve Touch 9380 says "cheese"; phone still unofficial
Although still not introduced by RIM, we have shown you pictures of the BlackBerry Curve Touch 9380 before. Now, another set of photos showing the device has leaked and this time the BlackBerry Curve Touch 9380 is seen next to its larger cousin, the BlackBerry Torch 9850/9860.
The guys at BGR were able to get their hands on a BlackBerry Curve Touch 9380, aka Orlando. The unit is equipped with a 3.25 inch touchscreen, an 800MHz single-core processor under the hood with 1GB of RAM aboard, and the BlackBerry 7 OS running the show. A 5MP camera on back captures video at 720p and the phone will have support for NFC.
This will be a low-priced budget priced handset for those BlackBerry fanatics who want to try out the new generation of touchscreen BlackBerry devices without having to mortgage the farm to do so. While a launch might not happen for a few months, a source for BGR at Canadian carrier Telus says that the release of the BlackBerry Curve Touch 9380 might occur sooner than expected.
