BlackBerry Curve 8900 already gets leaked OS upgrade
Although it has only been sold to business customers since January 19th, and will not be available to T-Mobile retail buyers until February 11th, an OS upgrade for the BlackBerry Curve 8900 has already been leaked. The new OS making the rounds on the internet is numbered 4.6.1.133 and early indications are that it makes ringtones sound louder and improves battery life. The version that was shipped with the phone was .94. We caution you that this leaked file is not official and downloading it onto your device entails some risk. The BlackBerry Curve 8900 has been eagerly awaited by BlackBerry fans as it is the slimmest model offered with a physical QWERTY keyboard. And while it will not run on T-Mobile's ever expanding 3G network, it does have Wi-Fi. Other features include GPS, a 3.2MP camera and an HTML browser. We still have a few weeks left until T-Mobile allows non-business buyers to buy this unit. We could see some more leaked OS upgrades before then. Are you waiting for the 11th of next month to pick this 'Berry?
