A published report out of Vietnam shows the GDR3 update and Bittersweet shimmer on a Nokia Lumia 520. The GDR3 update from Microsoft allows Windows Phone handsets to sport 1080 x 1920 resolution on larger screens, and supports multi-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processors. The Bittersweet shimmer update comes from Nokia and adds new features to Nokia Lumia models.
You might recall that last week a Nokia Lumia 920 purchased from Craig's List contained the GDR3 and Bittersweet shimmer update. The update allows Windows Phone users to shutdown open apps by tapping on an "X" and lock the screen in either portrait or landscape orientation. A Driving Mode will automatically disable certain features of the handset while the user is driving a vehicle.
