Beta version of Allerta inPulse smartwatch for BlackBerry displayed on video
About 6 months ago, we reported on the Allerta inPulse smartwatch for BlackBerry. Now in beta, we have a couple of videos released by one of those participating in the closed testing of the device. The hardware in the video is a final production model, but the software is still being tweaked and in fact, was just recently upgraded.

The inPulse watch is currently able to alert you to e-mail, SMS and phone calls. Rather than replacing your 'Berry, the watch is designed to work with your handset to give you quick information during those times when getting to your phone is difficult. E-mails and text messages are pushed to your inPulse and the unit vibrates to alert you when a call or message is coming in.

As we told you 6 mnths ago, the price for the smartwatch is $149 and can be pre-ordered by clicking this link. With any luck, Allerta will be able to have available for the upcoming holiday season. Too many missed opportunities can be fatal to a product like this.
