With so many deals on so many expensive phones from retailers and carrier alike, we asked you last week if you will be angling for a new handset right after the turkey-induced tryptophan wore off this Black Friday.

In sync with recent statistics that people are keeping their phones for three, instead of two years on average, more than half of our respondents gave a resounding "no." There is still hope for phone makers, though, as the rest have either sniped a deal, or are waiting to the last possible one announced before they decide whether to pull the trigger.

Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, Sprint, Best Buy, Amazon, Samsung, Apple, Google - most every big name in mobile has announced Black Friday deals and there are some pretty enticing offers even before the Thanksgiving turkey has gotten out of the oven.

Among the best promos are up to $300 off on Galaxy S9 or Note 9 directly from Samsung or up to 50% off Google's new Pixels. Apple, as usual, will announce its discounts at the last minute, but don't keep your hopes up for half-off iPhones or anything of the sorts.
