Best Buy will carry a minimum of 20 iPhone 4 units on launch day?
As we tread ever closer to launch day for the iPhone 4, we are seeing details regarding Best Buy's stock count for the venerable smartphone. The last time we heard anything regarding any inventory was that the big box retailer would have a minimum of 45 units on hand for launch day. However, some leaked inventory sheets provide us some insights to stock counts that some stores will be seeing in time for launch. From the looks of it, the minimum count that each store will receive is 20 units for the 16GB black version and will vary depending on the location – more units are reserved for the larger sized stores out there. On the other hand, inventory levels for the 32GB black version is tallying in at a low 10 units per store. As we've reported that the retailer has low expectations for inventory on launch day, it'll be interesting to see if they will be able to accommodate walk in sales seeing that they too have experienced a huge demand for pre-orders. Unfortunately, it remains unclear if the retailer will have any of the white versions of the smartphone in time for this anticipated launch.
