Best Buy knocks another $50 off the Essential Phone; discount takes the price down to $449.99

If it's ___day (fill in the blank), it must be time for another price cut for the Essential Phone. This time, big box retailer Best Buy has lopped another $50 off the already discounted price of $499.99. So now, you can pick up Andy Rubin's smartphone for just $449.99. And the modular 360 Camera is now just $49.99, a huge savings from the pre-sale price of $199.99. The accessory uses magnets to 'plug-in' to the back of the handset.
It's not like the Essential Phone isn't well spec'd. After all, it does feature a 5.7-inch edge-to-edge LCD display with a resolution of 1312 x 2560, and it is powered by the Snapdragon 835 chipset. 4GB of RAM is inside and it comes with 128GB of native storage. And stock Android is pre-installed.
This deal is available from Best Buy only. If you must have the Essential Phone now, and you don't qualify for the company's own friends and family discount, this is a pretty solid deal. On the other hand, if you don't mind waiting for the device, we should see the Essential Phone priced even lower in the near future.
