Bell gets its own variant of the Motorola DROID 3 in the form of the XT860 4G
By now, there are probably plenty of people heading over to their local Verizon Wireless stores to nab themselves the Motorola DROID 3 – the latest member to the DROID family. However, for our friends north of the border, they’re actually getting some good news today because a variant of the Motorola DROID 3 is making its way to Bell’s lineup.

Indeed, its name isn’t as cool as the DROID 3, but Bell’s upcoming Motorola XT860 4G will surely impress customers with its lovable set of features. Looking at its official press shots, the Android 2.3 Gingerbread powered smartphone retains most of the impressive looks abd specs seen with the Motorola DROID 3 – like its 4” qHD display, dual-core 1GHz processor, 5-row landscape QWERTY keyboard, front-facing camera, 16GB internal storage, GPS, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. Moreover, its HSPA+ connection will more than likely get customers on the web at a wicked speed as well.

Naturally, if you’re in Canada and planning to pick this one up, just know that Bell will be the exclusive seller of the Motorola XT860 4G – so who knows when others will be getting it down the road. Lastly, its pricing is yet to be known at this point, but it’s being given a release time frame of “this summer.” Essentially, we can wait up to the end of August to see this one arrive.
