'Be inspired by my vision': Samsung hints at a new Galaxy S6 camera in a teaser video
Samsung is placing a sharp focus on the Galaxy S6's camera abilities in its new #TheNextGalaxy teaser video, just posted on the respective Twitter account.
We had a Samsung exec wax poetic about the upcoming 20 MP OIS module that will reportedly be placed in the S6, saying that "passion and dedication has been put into building the cameras for the release of our 2015 flagship model. It will be intelligent and do all the thinking for users, allowing them to take amazing pictures under any conditions, without having to worry about anything more than just pressing the shutter button."
Word, now the only thing left is to obtain some camera samples and check what the fuss is all about, especially for low-light shots, which seem to be the stumbling block for most mobile phone cameras these days. Judging from the light-and-shadow whiff of the footage, that's exactly where Samsung thinks the camera on the Galaxy S6 excels. Fun fact: the camera unit sketch in the end of the video depicts almost perfectly the recently leaked renders and schematics of the device, so there might be some merit to those, after all.
