Barney, your purple Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 is official

Depending on your age, the color purple could bring to mind Harold and the Purple Crayon. Or, it might bring rocker Prince to mind with Purple Rain. For those younger, there is the iconic purple television character Barney. What calls to mind all of these purple things is the word that the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 in purple is now official. Considering the size of this mammoth device, perhaps Barney the dinosaur is the best connection.

The purple colored smartphone with the 6.3 inch display is now listed on the manufacturer's Hong Kong website and will most likely make its way around the rest of the planet. In the states, AT&T has the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 on its roster while Sprint and U.S. Cellular are expected to join AT&T shortly.

Thanks to the Sony Xperia Z Ultra and it's 6.4 inch display, the Galaxy Mega is no longer the industry leader, but that doesn't take away from the sheer size of the phone.
