BLU readying another affordable smartphone with 3,000 mAh battery
It looks like a BLU R1 HD sequel is now in the works and will probably be officially introduced in the coming weeks. Few details about its specs are available at the moment, but at least we have several pictures showing the smartphone from all angles.
BLU R2 has been recently listed at FCC (Federal Communications Commissions), so it will probably not be long until the smartphone gets revealed. The documents filed at FCC confirm the R2 will be powered by a 3,000 mAh battery.
Also, the affordable smartphone will sport a 5-inch display and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The primary camera features a LED flash just above, and there's a loudspeaker grill at the bottom of the back plate.
The R2 doesn't feature a physical button, but its body seems to feature a metal design. We can only hope BLU will include Android 7.0 Nougat on board rather than a previous version of the OS.
Considering the fact that the BLU R1 HD costs around $110 on Amazon, the sequel shouldn't be priced above $150 if it comes with several improvements over the former.

Most likely BLU R2 will come equipped with a MediaTek chipset, just like the predecessor. However, it remains to be seen whether or not the U.S. based company will add at least 2GB RAM inside.
