In case you're wondering how much bang for the buck you can get out of an Android smartphone, the answer is quite a lot if you're buying a BLU phone. Obviously, there's no perfect brand when it comes to smartphones, but in the entry-level range there aren't too many options.
Since people want more and better features for the money they pay, BLU Products has managed to include some killer features in a phone that costs less than $150. The new BLU G9 is part of the company's new G-series value packed smartphone lineup, and is now available for purchase via Amazon for just $180.
However, as part of BLU's promotion at launch, lucky customers who are first in line will be able to buy the G9 at a limited time offer of $50 off for $130 while supplies last. BLU G9 comes in two color variations – black and blue, but the latter will arrive in stock on May 27.
That is a great price considering the phone boasts a stunning 6.3-inch HD+ Infinity Display that includes a V-Notch. The BLU G9 is very slim at 8mm and features a premium metallic finish.
Although it comes with an octa-core chipset manufactured by MediaTek, which are usually slower than Qualcomm's performance-wise, BLU included 4GB RAM and 64GB expandable storage inside.
Also, the affordable BLU G9 benefits from a dual-camera configuration that includes a 13MP Sony sensor and a 2MP sub-camera to capture depth of field, thus allowing users to take optimal Portrait Mode pictures.
The 13-megapixel front-facing camera has a LED flash next to it to allow users to take great selfies even in low-light conditions. Last but not least, BLU G9 is powered by a huge 4,000 mAh battery with fast charging capability that will charge the phone to 50% in just 45 minutes.
