For the BlackBerry user who is also a big Disney fan, here is some news to make them yell out "to infinity...and beyond!" BBM has added Toy Story stickers. In addition, BBM is also offering a pack of BBM character stickers. The Toy Story stickers sell for $1.99 and the BBM character pack is .99 cents. While these stickers aren't available in all regions, if you are in an area where the stickers are not available, all you need to do is have someone send you one, and you can then purchase them as well.
The stickers must be bought from the BBM store, which is one of the new features added to the messaging app by BlackBerry in an effort to monetize it. CEO John Chen was called into action by the $19 billion bid for WhatsApp by Facebook that valued each WhatsUp subscriber at $42. Chen realized that he has a hidden jewel in BBM. He added millions of new members by opening up BBM to iOS and Android users, with Windows Phone users soon to be added as well.
Chen has started selling ads to big companies looking to sponsor BlackBerry Channel discussion groups. The executive could be looking to dress up the messaging app with an intention to spin it off or sell it off, possibly reaping hundreds of millions to finance his turnaround plans for BlackBerry.
You can check out photos of the new stickers below.
