BBM for Android delayed, BlackBerry asks for your patience
BlackBerry has put up a message on its Facebook site asking for patience from those who have been waiting all morning to install BBM for iOS or BBM for Android. Earlier today, we were told to expect BBM for Android to arrive at the Google Play Store at 7am EDT and five hours later for iOS users.  The message reads "Thanks for your patience. Working hard to get you the real BBM ASAP. We'll let you know when it is live."

Instead, we have heard that iTunes in New Zealand has displayed BlackBerry Messenger while in the Google Play Store a number of fakes have been listed. Keep in mind that the real BBM app is not going to spell BlackBerry without that second capitalized "B".

We are hoping that the real app manifests itself soon in the Google Play Store, and in more locations for iTunes. If you have loaded the app on to your phone, let us know by dropping us a line in the box below.
