BBM beta update for BlackBerry 10 users brings a new way to add contacts
With BBM open to iOS, Android and very soon to Windows Phone users, it is easy to forget that the messaging app was originally designed for BlackBerry users only. So it almost seems strange to report that a beta update to BBM is now available for BlackBerry 10 users. There is a change in the way that contacts can be added, which seems to be the major change with this update.

From a new "Add Contact" screen on BBM, BlackBerry 10 users can run their fingers down a list of recommended names to add to their BBM contacts list. Or, users can send an invitation to the e-mail address of a potential BBM contact. By the way, there is something to consider. Updating to this beta version of BBM could cost you your existing chats, so keep that in mind.

Lastly, while you might have seen all of the hype about the BlackBerry Passport, it seems that the BlackBerry Classic is also being internally tested by the company. Formerly known as the BlackBerry Q20, this looks like a bigger version of the BlackBerry Q10, featuring the traditional physical BlackBerry QWERTY. The Classic part of the phone's name comes from the inclusion of the old-school touchpad and function keys. We know that the BlackBerry Classic is being tested, because of some known issues that the phone is having with the beta update of BBM.
