At its one-year LTE anniversary Verizon confirms Motorola Droid Xyboard tablets by year-end

Verizon is pretty content with how things are going for its LTE network, which turned one yesterday. The carrier said it has scooped up more spectrum from Leap Wireless in a frequency swap deal towards the ultimate goal to cover 2/3 of its existing network with LTE in the next year or two.
The carrier also confirmed that the rebadged 10" Motorola Xoom 2 and 8" Xoom 2 Media Edition tablets are coming to take advantage of its LTE network by year-end under the Motorola Droid Xyboard branding. Talk about a human approach to naming your gear.
As a refresher - the second iteration of Android's first Honeycomb tablet will be very thin at 0.35" (8.8mm) and light at just 21oz (599g), powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor. Throw in the LTE connectivity, and Motorola might have a good holiday seller on its hands, depending on Verizon's subsidy amount.
