Asus Zenfone 5Z goes on sale in Europe with a limited-time discount
Nearly four months after its official announcement back at MWC 2018, Asus’ 2018 flagship smartphone, the ZenFone 5Z, is finally available to purchase in Europe, and the company is even throwing in a limited-time discount.
Via the Taiwan-based company’s official website, consumers will be able to get their hands on two different variants that differ quite a bit in price. Competing directly against the OnePlus 6, which starts at €519 in Europe, the standard ZenFone 5Z is currently being sold for €499.99. However, due to a €50 rebate that Asus is including with any purchases placed before July 15, the smartphone can be had for just €449.99, making it the cheapest smartphone currently on sale with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 on the inside. Speaking of which, this particular variant couples the processor with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. However, if this configuration isn’t sufficient, an upgraded model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage can be had for €599.99, or €549.99 after the rebate.
Aside from the memory and processor details, the Asus ZenFone 5Z offers a large 6.2-inch display complete with a small notch up top that is home to an 8-megapixel selfie sensor. Over on the rear, a dual-camera setup has been added and is comprised of a main 12-megapixel lens and a secondary 8-megapixel one. Also, all of this is backed up by Android 8.1 Oreo complete with ZenUI 5.0 overlay on top, and a 3,300mAh battery.
