Asus ZenWatch 3 finally getting the Android Wear 2.0 update

Do you own an Asus ZenWatch 3 smartwatch? If the answer is yes, then you most certainly have waited for the promised Android Wear 2.0 update that should have been released a long time ago.

After Google had launched Android Wear 2.0, the search giant announced which smartwatches will be getting it as an update. Both ZenWatch 2 and 3 were among the wearable devices that would be upgraded to Android Wear 2.0.

Unfortunately, Asus delayed the release of the update a few times. The good news is whatever issue prevented Asus from deploying Android Wear 2.0 for the ZenWatch 3 has been finally overcome.

The company announced that Android Wear 2.0 for Asus ZenWatch 3 is available for download. It's worth noting the roll-out of the update will take between 5 and 7 days, so don't worry if you don't get it on the first day.

Speaking of Android Wear 2.0, Asus had started to push the update to the ZenWatch 3 on July 12, so you can begin tapping that update screen.

In related news, ZenWatch 2 owners will probably have to wait one more month for the same update to arrive on their smartwatch. Last we heard Asus said it would release Android Wear for this particular smartwatch sometime in August.
