Asus ZenFone 5 Lite leaks out, shows off two dual cameras
Later this month, at MWC 2018, Asus will be showcasing a brand new family of Android smartphones - the ZenFone 5. Similar to the company's older handset series, the ZenFone 5 will include multiple devices aimed at different types of users. One of these devices will be the Asus ZenFone 5 Lite, which we can now see - above - thanks to an image revealed by Evan Blass (aka @evleaks).
Reportedly, the ZenFone 5 Lite comes with a dual 20 MP front-facing camera, a dual 16 MP rear camera, and a Full HD+ (1080 x 2160 pixels), 18:9 aspect ratio screen. According to a previous report, the phone's display measures 6 inches.
The Asus ZenFone 5 Lite appears to have the same design language as the regular ZenFone 5 (which is expected to sport a 5.7-inch screen). The main difference that we're currently noticing is related to the rear camera - on the regular ZenFone 5, this is situated on the left (à la iPhone X), while the ZenFone 5 Lite has its camera in the center, just above the fingerprint scanner.
The name of the ZenFone 5 Lite suggests that the handset won't be as powerful as the regular ZenFone 5. However, for now, we don't have details on what processors the two smartphones are packing.
Asus will officially announce its ZenFone 5 series on February 27. We're assuming that at least one of the company's new phones will be released in the US.
