Android 8.1 Oreo and ZenUI 5.0 start rolling out to Asus ZenFone 3 Max
It's amazing that smartphone like Asus ZenFone 3 Max is still being supported by its maker two years after launch. The ZenFone 3 Max made its debut on the market back in 2016 with Android Marshmallow on board, but one year later got updated to Android Nougat.

Fast forward another year and it looks like those who decided to keep it are now rewarded with yet another major Android OS update. Asus has just announced that Android 8.1.0 Oreo is now rolling out to the ZenFone 3 Max (ZC553KL), along with the new ZenUI 5.0.

Asus also states that it should take about one week for the system to complete the roll-out, but if you didn't receive the update in the next couple of days, you can definitely try to pull it manually by heading to Settings / About / System Update.

However, if you still don't get it, you'll probably have to wait until the end of the week and try again. No additional details about what other changes have been included in the update, but you can expect it to add a security patch as well.
