While the quad-core powered Asus Transformer Prime does not have an official launch date, the tablet has been available for pre-order at Amazon and now can be reserved from Best Buy. The 32GB tablet has a Tegra 3 processor under the hood and while recent reports speculated about it launching with Ice Cream Sandwich, it looks as though Android 3.2 will be installed on the Asus Transformer Prime out of the box. Best Buy is charging $499.99 for the tablet in both champagne and gray.
According to Amazon, the Asus Transformer Prime will be released on December 16th, and if that date holds up the 10.1 inch tablet will be available as a gift for the holidays. And what fan of technology would not love to receive a quad-core powered tablet for Chanukah or Xmas.
