Asus ME301T MemoPad 10 is an affordable Jelly Bean tablet for business folks
Android tablets are an extremely competitive space where survival is hard, but one company that has managed to not only survive, but actually enjoy good sales is Asus, and now it seems to be readying a new tablet for CES.
The Asus ME301T MemoPad 10 is a 10-inch Android 4.1 Jelly Bean tablet running on a quad-core Tegra 3 chip, but what’s most interesting - it has a very affordable price tag of 308 euro ($406) in Europe. This might seem like much, but in Europe’s realities it is actually a very affordable device, as say the Nexus 7 in Europe sells for around 250 euro.
At that price, it’s definitely not a competitor to the latest iPad. There can be little excitement about the 10.1-inch 1,280 x 800-pixel display, and 16GB of internal storage, what’s more fascinating is the low price.
Also, the fact that both a Wi-Fi-only and a Wi-Fi plus cellular options will be available.
Also, the Asus MemoPad 10 is rumored to be aimed squarely at business folks. The tablet is expected on shelves around mid-February in white, blue and fuchsia color versions, but we first expect to see at CES in just a couple of days so stay tuned.
