Asus Eee Pad Slider was temporarily up for pre-order on Amazon
Perhaps signaling that its release is coming closer, the highly-anticipated Asus Eee Pad Slider tablet made a brief appearance on Amazon as a pre-order for the price of $479.
The Asus Eee Pad Slider is an odd beast of a tablet. It is very much similar to the 10.1-inch Android Honeycomb powered Asus Eee Pad Transformer but with a bit of a twist. It features a full sliding QWERTY keyboard which can help bridge the gap between tablet and PC. While other tablets have had their own share of full keyboards via add-on accessories, the Eee Pad Slider will be the first of its kind to have it built into the form factor.
Running the show behind the scenes of the Eee Pad Slider is a dual-core 1.2GHz Tegra 2 processor and 1GB of RAM. The tablet features two cameras; a 5 megapixel shooter graces the back of the tablet while a 1.3 megapixel camera is perched on the front.
When this unique tablet becomes available, how many of you will consider picking one up for the price of $479? Hopefully the temporary product listing on Amazon is indicative of its impending release rather than just a mistake. Tell us what you think in the comments below.
