Asus Eee Pad MeMo spotted on its way back to CES
It's been a year since the Asus Eee Pad MeMoleft its mark on the CES in Las Vegas. Originally expected to launch with Honeycomb, a stylus, and some glasses-free 3D visuals, Asus has dropped the 3D, the stylus, and has decided to go with Ice Cream Sandwich instead of Gingerbread. The exciting thing is that the tablet is supposedly set to launch later this month, although it would be somewhat of a surprise if Android 4.0 was installed on the Eee Pad Memo ahead of being available first via update for the Asus Transformer Prime.

Since it has been some time, let's re-visit the tablet. We can start with the 7.1 inch display with resolution of 800 x 1280, and a dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor under the hood. A 5MP camera captures video at 1080p, while those who like to snap self-portraits or use video chat can use the 1.3MP front facing shooter. The Wi-Fi enabled Asus Eee Pad MeMo will be available with 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of native storage.

Those mundane items like pricing, launch date and retailer availability will probably be made public at the CES where the tablet will get to feel the glare of the spotlights for a second time.
