As promised, Android 4.3 rolling out now to T-Mobile's HTC One customers
As promised last week by HTC America president Jason Mackenzie, the Android 4.3 update has rolled out today to T-Mobile customers sporting the HTC One. Mackenzie admitted via tweet on Friday that the update had to be pushed back to today. The update also adds some cool features to Sense 5. This includes new video highlight themes, support in BlinkFeed for Instagram and more user control for the "home" and "menu" buttons.
Among the new features, Android 4.3 brings lockscreen widgets to the phone, settings toggles in the navigation shade, and improved focus capabilities for the camera. Meanwhile, Verizon's HTC One owners are next up for the update. Big Red was the last of the four major U.S. carriers to release the model, so it happened to launch with Android 4.2.2 installed along with some of the new features on Sense. The Verizon update is due to hit the carrier's HTC One units around the end of this month.
