Apple's Back to School deals include free Beats headset with iPad Pro purchase

While your kids might feel that they just started enjoying those carefree summer days, Apple is reminding them that another school year is only weeks away. The company announced its Back To School deals for this year, and they include a free Beats Headset with the purchase of an Apple iPad Pro. To qualify, consumers need to prove that they are enrolled in college, or are the parents of someone who is. Teachers and other faculty members are also eligible to take advantage of this deal, but they must also have proof of their occupation.
Student, teachers or other faculty can buy an Apple iPad Pro from $629 for the model sporting a 10.5-inch screen, or $779 for an iPad Pro carrying a 12.9-inch display. The tablets come with a free Power3 Wireless earphones, and there is promotional pricing on certain accessories. For example, those eligible to take advantage of the promotion can pick up the Apple Pencil for $89.
Eligible shoppers can trade in a device to receive a pre-paid Apple Store Gift Card. A link on Apple's Back To School website (click on the sourcelink below) will allow a student to type in information about his phone, tablet, computer, smartwatch and other devices to get an idea of the value of a trade. Apple will give up to $290 for a smartphone, $250 for a tablet, $1,000 for a computer and $175 for a smartwatch.
For $199.99, students, teachers and facility can purchase the Pro Apps Bundle that includes powerful apps for video editors and musicians. The apps included in the bundle are:
- Final Cut Pro X
- Logic Pro X
- Motion 5
- Compressor 4
- MainStage 3
