If you trade in your older Apple Watch for a newer model at the Apple Store, you will receive instant credit. Or, you can do it online and receive an Apple gift card. The first-gen and Series 1 Apple Watches have an estimated trade-in value as high as $75. Series 2 Apple Watches can bring you as much as $175 in credit. This is being done in conjunction with Brightstar, the distribution company that was co-founded by Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure. To get top dollar for your Apple Watch, the device has to be in excellent condition.

When you do surrender your old watch, you can keep the band and all of the accessories. Apple says that if your Apple Watch has no trade-in value, the company will be more than happy to recycle it for you at no charge.
