New 'I love you' emoji harnesses the power of sign language
What's vain and colorful, and so popular that it deserves a special Apple blog post? New emojis coming with the iOS 11.1 update, of course, and the team from Cupertino felt obliged to show us the next batch of its 59 new designs that are coming with Unicode 10. The first set was shown on World Emoji Day, and included Woman with Headscarf, Bearded Person, Breastfeeding, Zombie, Person in Lotus Position, as well as new items in the food section like Sandwich and Coconut.
There are the obligatory diversity faces, different heart colors, but also dinos, and even a curling stone for the sporty types, check out all of Apple's new designs above. Next week the iOS 11.1 beta version is to be rolled out, so not much to wait before you can probe these. Want to say "I love you," but bored from the heart emoji? Well, iMessage in iOS 11.1 will have the Love-You Gesture, designed after the hand sign in American Sign Language.
