Apple retail and online store executive Ahrendts reveals Spring launch for Apple Watch
A written transcript of a video message to Apple employees, gives us the latest clue as to when we just might expect to see the launch of the Apple Watch. The video was made by Apple Senior Vice President of Retail and Online Stores, Angela Ahrendts, and the executive suggests that the smartwatch will be ready for retail sales in the Spring of 2015.
While Apple had already made it known that the timepiece wouldn't be released until next year, most buyers expected that it would be launched early in 2015, possibly some time in January. But the transcript of Ahrendts' video, if correct, would have the Watch up for sale around March 20th, when Spring begins.
A number of big name manufacturers, like Samsung, LG and Motorola to name a few, have already launched smartwatches. Still, the Apple Watch is still expected to be a game changer even though it was already unveiled last September. The display uses a new Taptic Engine to read how hard you tap the screen. Apps will be offered for the wearable, and there will be plenty of different watchfaces (including animated ones) to choose from. You will be able to use your Apple Watch to make mobile payments using Apple Pay

The Apple Watch still needs to be paired with the user's iPhone in order to handle many capabilities, like answering a call on your wrist. An Apple iPhone 5 or later will do. The most basic model of the Watch will start at $349, and could be on your wrist not too long after Daylight Savings Time reappears next March.
