Apple media event featuring the 4-inch iPhone SE pushed back a week to March 22nd? (UPDATE)
Originally thought to be taking place on March 15th, the Apple media event that will introduce the 4-inch Apple iPhone SE is now believed to be taking place on Tuesday, March 22nd. The iPhone SE is believed to feature the A9 chipset and M9 motion co-processor. According to connected Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the phone will sport a 12MP camera on back and will be powered by a 1642mAh battery. The unit will support NFC and Apple Pay, and will be available in 16GB and 64GB models.

UPDATE:The latest rumor has Apple holding this event on Monday, March 21st at Apple's Town Hall in Cupertino. We are still awaiting confirmation from the company.

Kuo adds that the price of the iPhone SE will be between $400 and $500. With Apple expected to slash the price of the Apple iPhone 5s by 50% to $225, the analyst cut his forecast of Apple iPhone SE shipments from 18-20 million down to 12 million. Kuo cut his estimate as he expects the cheaper price of the iPhone 5s to draw buyers away from the new 4-inch iPhone.

At the March 22nd event, we expect to see Apple take the wraps off of the 9.7-inch Apple iPad Pro. This slate will have many of the specs found on the larger 12.9-inch tablet, but priced as though it were a new iPad Air model. The A9X chipset is inside along with 4GB of RAM. The tablet will contain a quad-speaker sound system, and will support the Apple Pencil and a smaller Smart Keyboard. The latter will sync to the tablet with the Smart Connector. Apple is also rumored to be unveiling a new refresh version of the Apple Watch with new bands and possibly a FaceTime camera.

With Apple employees reportedly asked to keep the days around March 22nd free, it seems quite possible that Apple will have a few things to show us on that date. The original rumor had the iPhone SE launching three days after being unveiled. If Apple sticks to the schedule, its new 4-inch phone will be available for purchase on March 25th without a pre-order period.
