What to expect from Apple's September 10 event: iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, more
The iPhone X
It's official! Apple is holding an event titled "By innovation only" on September 10. The gathering will take place at the Steve Jobs Theatre on Apple's campus and should feature a wide range of new products including iPhones, iPads, Apple Watch models, and more. Below, we've detailed everything that's currently expected.
The iPhone 11 series should be the center of attention
Every year since 2012, Apple has introduced new iPhone models in September and 2019 is expected to be no different. The Cupertino giant hasn't yet confirmed its plans officially but reports suggest the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max will all make an appearance next week complete with both internal and external upgrades.
Replacing last year's A12 Bionic and iOS 12 combination looks set to be the next-gen A13 Bionic (name to be confirmed) paired with iOS 13 straight out of the box. This will be accompanied by 4GB of RAM in the case of the iPhone 11 and potentially 6GB of RAM on the Pro models, although the latter is simply a guess at this stage.

Apple is also said to be planning an improved stereo recording system for videos that's made possible by an array of upgraded microphones. An updated Portrait Mode which uses data from all three cameras and Siri AI enhancements inside the camera app should make the cut too. The latter is expected to enable improved scene detection for better color reproduction.
The cheaper iPhone 11 won't feature a triple-camera setup on the rear but should still include the iPhone 11 Pro's main sensor and telephoto camera. The upgraded 10-megapixel selfie sensor reportedly coming to the premium models should be present on the iPhone XR's successor too. Lastly, all three models look set to boast upgraded Face ID systems that'll be just as fast as Apple's second-generation Touch ID and capable of detecting faces at wider angles and shorter distances.
Apple Watch Series 5 and iPad updates
While the iPhone will undoubtedly be the main focus at Apple's next event, that's not the only thing the company has up its sleeves. In fact, the Cupertino giant is apparently preparing updates to both its Apple Watch and iPad lines.
Set to replace the popular Apple Watch Series 4, the Apple Watch Series 5 is expected to bring minimal external changes paired with new titanium and ceramic casing options. An upgraded processor is a likely addition too, although the main focus looks set to be the watchOS 6 software. The latter introduces an independent App Store for the Apple Watch and a range of apps like Calculator, Voice Memos, and Audiobooks that'll run directly from the device. Improvements to battery life alongside new watch faces and a 'Trends' feature that'll show users their fitness data over a longer period of time are also part of the update.

Regarding the iPad, rumors suggest Apple is preparing a new entry-level 10.2-inch model that'll replace the current 9.7-inch model. Details are scarce at the minute but slimmer bezels and Apple's A12 Bionic are very probable changes. Completing the list of announcements should be more details about Apple TV+, the final versions of iOS 13 and iPadOS 13, and potential MacBook updates.
Further details about Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade
Both Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade were announced back in March as the California-based company's newest services. The two are expected to launch at some point this fall but Apple is yet to confirm the exact date or price point for either. On Tuesday, this could all change.
Apple TV+, for those of you that aren't aware, is the company's upcoming streaming service and so-called Netflix rival. It'll offer a range of original content including documentaries, movies, and TV shows aimed at all age groups. Alongside the launch date and price, it seems likely Apple will also debut some new trailers and perhaps announce extra content.
Apple Arcade, on the other hand, will let users access over 100 paid games on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV by paying just one monthly price. A long list of developers are on board and there will also be no additional in-app purchases.
