Apple iPad Pro to be unveiled at next week's event?
A week from today, Apple will introduce the Apple iPhone 6s and the Apple iPhone 6s Plus. But 9to5 Mac says that a trusted source has told them that also getting unveiled at the event will be the Apple iPad mini 4, and the long-awaited large screened Apple iPad Pro. While a third version of the Apple iPad Air is in the works, that tablet isn't expected to be released until 2016.
The Apple iPad Pro has internal code names of J98/J99, and the slate is said to be directed toward power users. It will have iOS 9.1 pre-installed, which means it will offer special capabilities related to Siri and the Notification Center that only iPad Pro users will have access to. There will also be a stylus based Force Touch system available for the long-rumored slab. Two speakers will be found on both the top and bottom of the iPad Pro, for improved stereo sound. While the size of the screen was not mentioned, most are expecting Apple to grace the tablet with a 12.9-inch display.
The Apple iPad mini 4 will feature an upgraded chipset and will be capable of running split-screen apps. Both cameras are expected to get a bump. Design-wise, the iPad mini 4 will be thinner than the current iPad mini model.
With a week before the event is to take place, there is still plenty of time for some more leaks. Keep checking in oftenj.
