Apple iPad Air off to much faster start than previous model
App marketing company Fiksu has some great news for Apple. Based on its data, Fiksu says that the just launched Apple iPad Air has an activity rate five times higher than the number generated by the fourth-generation iPad at the same point in its life. The numbers show that the iPad Air also has an activity rate four times that of the Apple iPad mini after the first two days of its launch last year.
The data shows that the Apple iPad Air made up .73% of total iPads in use by the second day of its availability. At the same point in its life, the fouth-gen iPad made up .14% of the iPad universe while the iPad mini comprised .21% of the total number of iPads in use. The new iPad still has a long way to go to become the most widely used version of Apple's tablet. That honor still belongs to the graybeard called the Apple iPad 2 which still leads the way with a 38.6% share of active iPad models.
