Apple Watch Sport and Apple Watch will be sold by Target starting later this month
Target isn't exactly known as a jewelry store, except to those who pronounce it as Tar-jay. Yet, starting on October 18th, various models of the Apple Watch Sport and Apple Watch will be available from Target.com. Exactly one week later, the timepiece will be found at all 1800 Target locations. Target will make available 20 models in both 38mm and 42mm sizes, ranging in price from $349 to $599.
You might notice that the higher priced Apple Watch Edition models, which run as high as $17,000, are not listed. While the discount retailer has sold the Apple iPod, Apple iPhone and Apple iPad, selling the Apple Watch requires more hand-holding with the customer. That is something that Target is not known for.
While Target did not comment on the news, those using its in-house credit card normally get 5% off all purchases. That could save buyers of the Apple Watch as much as $30 depending on the model purchased.
Thanks for the tip!

Meanwhile, Best Buy CEO Hubert Joly says that thanks to strong demand, the big box retailer is increasing its initial rollout plans for the Apple Watch. In August, Best Buy became the first non-Apple retailer to offer the Apple Watch.
