CEO Tim Cook just invited the HBO CEO Richard Pepler to the stage, and he announced that HBO Now, the new subscription streaming service of HBO that has been in the works for a while, will make a cameo exclusively on Apple TV as soon as next month. This HBO Now streamer will be present within the channel, and will run you $14.99 a month. Of course, the beauty of it is that no cable subscription is needed, and those that get HBO Now in April, will get the first month for free. All HBO current television shows and movies, like Game of Thrones, as well as those that the network has aired in the past, like The Sopranos, will be accessible within that HBO Now subscription, pretty game-changing. Oh, did we mention that the Apple TV hockey puck will now run you $69, instead of the $99 so far? Well, yeah, it just got 30% cheaper, too.
