Apple TV app goes live on Amazon's Fire TV Stick devices
Amazon confirmed the Apple TV app is available on most Fire TV devices, starting today. Depending on their location, owners of Fire TV Stick (2nd Gen) and Fire TV Stick 4K can download and start using the brand new Apple TV app.
To get the app, simply search for “Apple TV” or say “Alexa, find the Apple TV app” into the Alexa Voice Remote or a paired Echo device. Once the app is installed, if you want to open it quickly, just say, “Alexa, open the Apple TV app.”
Amazon mentions that Fire TV Stick (2nd Gen) and Fire TV Stick 4K customers can download the Apple TV app starting today in the US, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and India. Also, Fire TV Basic Edition customers in over 50 countries can find the Apple TV app in the Amazon Appstore on their Fire TV.
Finally, Amazon announced that the Apple TV app will be coming soon to Fire TV Cube (1st and 2nd Gen), Fire TV (3rd Gen pendant design), Toshiba and Insignia Fire TV Edition smart TVs, and Nebula soundbar. Unfortunately, the application is not compatible with Fire TV (1st and 2nd Gen) and Fire TV Stick (1st Gen).
