Leaked pictures show Apple's upcoming Powerbeats Pro wireless sport headphones
Beats by Dre is a subsidiary of Apple and a well-known producer of audio gadgets. It's not by chance that they were acquired by the Cupertino-based company, which has a couple of audio markets of its own.

Last week, Apple launched the second-generation AirPods, which come with improved hardware in comparison with the original model and, more importantly, longer battery life. Not to mention that the new AirPods come with hands-free “Hey Siri” support, as well as an optional wireless charging case.

But Apple has more surprises for audiophiles in the coming weeks, such as a pair of new Powerbeats headphones, which seems to pack the same hardware as the new AirPods. It's strange that Apple plans to launch two pair of headphones that will compete with each other, although the newly leaked Powerbeats Pro might be positioned at a slightly higher price point.

Unfortunately, not many details are known about the upcoming Powerbeats Pro for the moment, but we have something just as good: a couple of photos. These images were recently discovered in the iOS 12.2 animations by the folks over at 9to5Mac.

If you're a fan of the Powerbeats lineup, these unannounced earphones will look very familiar since they strongly resemble the Powerbeats3, Beats' earphones launched three years ago. Rumor has it, the earphones will include the H1 chip, the same that's packed inside the 2nd generation AirPods, and “Hey Siri” support.

Moreover, the pictures reveal that the Powerbeats Pro will come with a charging case, although it's unclear whether or not they will be included in the retail box or you'll have to purchase it separately.

Unlike the Powerbeats3, the Pro version earphones are truly wireless, which means there are no cables whatsoever. No details about price are available yet, but Apple is expected to make them available for purchase sometime next month.
