Another evidence of the Palm Eos
The Palm Eos become famous as the second webOS smartphone the world has heard of. As a whole, it is thinner, candybar version of the Pre featuring front-facing QWERTY keyboard. Everything we know of the Eos has been dug out through unofficial rumors and speculations this far. Now, some PreCentral forum users have just posted a piece of webOS code that hints at the existence of the device. Here is the code:
# Start novacomd service
if [[ "$hostName" == "castle" ]];then
modprobe g_composite product=0x8002
elif [[ "$hostName" == "pixie" ]];then
modprobe g_composite product=0x8012
else
modprobe -q g_composite
fi
Alright, the “Pixie” is actually said to be a codename for the Eos. So, there you have it – a good piece of evidence that another webOS phone is already in the works.
