Android powered T-Mobile Rapport might be humbly joining T-Mobile's lineup in Europe
In Europe, it appears that the Huawei U8180 X1 is getting plenty of face time as various network carriers are selling their own branded versions of the handset – like how it’s named the Orange Stockholm by Orange UK. However, it seems as though T-Mobile is the next one in line to start offering the handset as the T-Mobile Rapport, which is what it’s being referred to by the Bluetooth SIG.
Much like most of Huawei’s selection, the T-Mobile Rapport is an entry-level Android 2.2 Froyo smartphone that will more than likely entice people with its affordable pricing. Specifically, it features a 2.8” QVGA touchscreen, 3.2-megapixel camera, microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a 3.5mm headset jack. Yeah, it’s not the mightiest out there, but at least it'll provide all the common elements of Android without costing too much.
Currently, it looks like it’ll be made available with T-Mobile’s lineup in Europe, but unfortunately its exact release and pricing are yet to be confirmed.
