The Mi A1 is one of the few mid-range Xiaomi smartphones that will go on sale internationally. Even though Android One program has been more of a local affair, as
Android One phones are specifically launched in certain countries,
Xiaomi Mi A1 doesn't care about that unspoken rule.
The Chinese company
announced last month the Android One-powered Mi A1 will be launched in many countries in Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East & Africa, as well as Americas. Starting this week, the affordable mid-range smartphone is available for purchase in several European countries like the Netherlands, Greece, and Poland.
Next week, the Mi A1 is expected to go on sale in Bulgaria, Hungary, Russia, and Spain. Prices start at about €230 and go up to €280 in some countries. Unfortunately, that's a lot more than what we've initially expected, as Xiaomi announced a €200 price for the Mi A1 in India.
Aside from the fact that it offers stock Android, the
Xiaomi Mi A1 features a dual-camera setup (12MP+12MP) and a pretty decent hardware configuration:
Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 CPU, 4GB RAM, and 64GB internal memory.
Also, Xiaomi's Android One smartphone sports a 5.5-inch display with full HD (1080p) resolution, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 3,080 battery. Finally, the phone features full metal body and Corning Gorilla Glass.
