Android 8.0 Oreo update begins to roll out to devices in the beta program
Google is gradually beginning to roll out Android 8.0 Oreo. If you happen to own a compatible device - Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel C, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, or a Nexus Player - the OTA update containing the official version of the major software upgrade is available for download.
All you need to do is to enroll in the Android Beta Program. Here's how to do it:
- Visit the official Android Beta Program page.
- Sign in with the Google account that you use on one of the devices listed above.
- Click on "Enroll Device".
- Check for the update on your device.
Earlier, there were reports of the update failing to install on Pixel devices running Developer Preview 4 of Android O, but the problem was quickly resolved by Google.
Fixed now. We had a signing issue for beta users.
