Samsung is bent on updating all of its important handsets from the past two years to the latest Android 7.0 Nougat version, it seems. The account of the head of Samsung Turkey already informed us that the company will start pushing the Nougat update to the S6 and S6 edge this month, and now guy has posted the complete roadmap. As you can see, it includes every major handset model that Samsung has issued in 2015 and 2016, including the original A-series, and even the lowly OG J5 from way back.
The older and lower-end phones will be receiving Android 7.0 much slower, of course, as they are with a weak priority before the S line or A-series, that is why the Galaxy J5 (2015) is scheduled for upgrade by the end of September, while the last one in the list - J7 Prime - won't be getting the goods until mid-November.
Needless to say, this is the roadmap for Turkey, but it should be pretty indicative for the timeframe Samsung is targeting in general. After the S6 and S6 edge this month, its the Note 5 and S6 edge+ turn in March, and the A8 from last year will get Nougat in April, so the most popular Samsung smartphones currently in circulation should be updated to the latest Android version this spring.
