Android 6.0.1 comes to the Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo
A version of the Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo, a phone that will celebrate one-year in the marketplace this August, is in the midst of receiving an update to Android 6.0.1. The model of the phone that is being updated right now is the SM-G903F. The update takes the handset's firmware version to G903FXXU1BPD4. This particular update is only for the unlocked version of the phone sold in Southeast Europe.

The Android 6.0.1 update include Doze, a feature that puts all apps to sleep if the phone has been unused for a period of time. This includes apps that would normally run in the background. As a result, the standby time of the battery is extended, allowing the phone to offer a longer battery life. Also part of the update is Google On Tap. This is a contextual search feature that provides search results based on content that found on the phone's display. And with Android 6.0.1, the user can also give permission to apps on a feature-by-feature basis.

The Galaxy S5 Neo was launched with Android 5.1 installed. When the phone receives notification that the Android 6.0.1 update has arrived, users should make sure that they are connected to a Wi-Fi signal before beginning the updating process. At the same time, the battery should be charged to 100%.

Thanks for the tip!
