Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Samsung Galaxy S5 rolling out now in Europe
Owners of Samsung’s Galaxy S5 should be excited to hear that the European version of the handset (model number SM-G900F) is now receiving an official OTA update to Android 5.0 Lollipop. At the moment, the update is being rolled out in Poland, and, according to Sam Mobile, is expected to show up soon on handsets in other regions across Europe.
The Galaxy S5 is Samsung’s first device to be updated to Lollipop - receiving it before the Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition (which, being a GPE device, should have normally gotten it first). Unfortunately, we can’t say exactly when the update will be released in the US, as its availability depends on carriers - as always. Hopefully, most Galaxy S5 users in the US will be able to update their device before the year’s end.

The Galaxy Note 4 should be the next non-GPE Samsung handset to receive an official update to Lollipop, though it’s not clear exactly when this will happen.
